Volunteer in Nashville public schools and make a difference! There are several ways to volunteer and opportunities to work with different age groups. The PENCIL staff is ready to help you find the volunteer activity that works for your schedule and meets your interest.

• PENCIL Partners: Pair your organization with a Metro school to provide additional resources and volunteer assistance.
   
• Reading Partners: Tutor a child once a week for 30-minutes or be a classroom reader
   
• Math Partners: Tutor a group of 2-4 elementary or middle school children in math
   
• Jobs for Tennessee Graduates: Provide job-shadowing opportunities for high school students or provide classroom speakers
   
• LP PENCIL Box: Assist teachers during shopping hours, stock the store, inventory supplies
