Reading Partners is a volunteer-based program that assists students (PreK-6) in Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools in acquiring reading skills and increasing their enjoyment of literature.

- If a child has not learned to read by the end of third grade, he or she is at risk for all future academic achievement, for high school graduation, and for successful employment.
- At least 75% of today’s jobs require at least a ninth-grade reading level
