The Nashville After Zone Alliance (NAZA), is a network of afterschool providers that operate in different gegraphic zones. PENCIL is the coordinating agency for the South Central Zone, which includes the following schools in the Overton and Glencliff clusters: Cameron, Wright, Croft, McMurray and Oliver Middle Schools.
A partnership of the Mayor’s Office, Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools, and youth-serving organizations, the goal of NAZA is to create a network of quality afterschool programs in geographically designated zones. Students will be exposed to enrichment activities within the visual and performance arts such as dance, painting and pottery. Other activities provide academic support, as well as team building and leadership opportunities. PENCIL is excited to be a part of an initiative where students have a safe, positive afterschool setting to learn and possibly tap into hidden talents.
