PENCIL Foundation is proud to be among 50 nonprofit organizations across the country recognized as one of the
Best NonProfit Organizations to Work for. This annual initiative was created by
The NonProfit Times and Best Companies Group.
This survey and award program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in the Nonprofit sector. The complete list – along with profiles of each organization's benefits package and corporate policies – will be published in The NonProfit Times’ April 2010 issue.
To be considered for participation, organizations had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:
- Have a facility in the United States
- Have a minimum of 15 employees working in the United States
- Must be in business a minimum of 1 year
- Must be a nonprofit organization with 501 (c) 3 status
Organizations were evaluated on workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics as well as results from an employee survey measuring the workplace experience. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration, survey and analysis process and determined the final rankings.
